Lead Conservation Efforts in the Houston Area

Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to lead hands-on conservation efforts?

Get Outside Alliance is looking for Group Leaders in the Houston, TX area to guide volunteer teams in meaningful projects across Texas State Parks.

As a Group Leader, you’ll play a key role in improving local parks, ensuring that every project runs smoothly while gaining leadership experience and getting paid for your efforts.

As a Group Leader, you’ll:

  • Lead volunteer teams during Saturday morning projects in the Houston area.

  • Gain leadership skills while guiding impactful conservation projects.

  • Get paid for your time and effort in a role that combines purpose with leadership


Earn While Leading Conservation Projects

Group Leaders earn $20 per hour, starting one hour before the event for setup and continuing until one hour after for wrap-up.

Each event lasts about 6 hours in total, including prep and clean-up.

You’ll have the flexibility to choose from available Saturday events posted on our internal portal, making it easy to sign up for events that fit your schedule.


How to Join the Team

To become a Group Leader, candidates will:

  • Complete an initial interview to assess leadership potential.

  • Undergo a comprehensive training program in leadership, safety, and conservation methods.

  • Participate in a final interview after training to confirm readiness.

Professional, Prepared, and Safe Leadership

Our projects are designed to be safe, smooth, and efficient. All events take place on Saturday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with no overnight camping required.

As a Group Leader, you’ll be fully prepared, with all tools, supplies, and meals provided by Get Outside Alliance, ensuring that you and your volunteers have everything needed for a successful event.

Leaders are thoroughly trained and background-checked to maintain a safe and professional environment for all participants.
