The Challenge and Promise of Our Parks

For years, the funding for Texas State Parks fell short, affecting the maintenance and development of our beautiful and popular natural spaces. The tide turned in favor of our parks with the passing of a constitutional amendment to secure a long-term funding source. Now, Texas State Parks are set for transformation, but challenges remain.

With record visitor numbers, our parks need more resources to accommodate everyone and maintain the high quality of experiences that make our parks special. New parks are in development, like Palo Pinto Mountains State Park, but more is needed. That’s where you and Get Outside Alliance come in. We're here to help our parks thrive.
