Event Description

Help Us Restore the Coastal Prairie!

Join us for a hands-on conservation project as we work to restore a unique coastal prairie ecosystem that once covered the Houston landscape. This vital habitat supports a variety of birds, amphibians, and mammals, and your efforts will directly contribute to its restoration.

Event Details:

What to expect: Participants will be digging holes and planting 1-gallon native prairie plants grown in the park’s nursery. A brief orientation and all necessary tools will be provided.

Wear: Long pants, close-toed shoes that can get muddy, and any accessories to keep you comfortable. Prepare to get dirty!

Minimum Age: 8 years old. For those in your party under 13, please email us for additional details.

After our project concludes, join us at The Upside Pub on N. Shepard Drive for some post-project food and cold beverages.
