🌿 Volunteer Opportunity: Help Plant 1,000 Natives at Galveston Island State Park! 🌊
We’re teaming up with Texas Conservation Alliance, the Houston Zoo, and other amazing community partners on Saturday, June 7 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for a large-scale planting and conservation day at Galveston Island State Park—and we need your help to make it happen!
We’ll be continuing our work to restore coastal prairielands by planting 1,000 native plants grown right in the park’s nursery. So far, volunteers have helped us plant over 1,000 natives across 15 species and trees like Red Mulberry, Southern Live Oak, Yaupon, and Wax Myrtle—covering half an acre of vital prairie habitat.
