Join us at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area over Labor Day weekend for our once-a-year, long-weekend project.
We'll spend Saturday and Sunday mornings working alongside park staff to restore an eroded stretch of trail near the campgrounds — then spend the afternoons and evenings enjoying the park.
Camping, carpooling, and good company included. All ages welcome.

🛠️ What we're doing:
Restoring roughly a mile of eroded trail near the campgrounds — a stretch that's been causing injuries and slowing emergency access
Moving and setting material the park has already staged for us
Work shifts run 8:00 AM to noon on both Saturday and Sunday
Afternoons and evenings are yours. We'll spend time with park staff learning about the area's natural history, and there'll be plenty of time to hike, swim, and take in the Rock.
No experience needed. We provide all tools, gloves, and safety gear.

🚐 Transportation. A GOA van leaves Houston at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 4, and heads home from the park around 8:00 AM Monday, September 7. Seats are limited and first come, first served. You're also welcome to drive yourself and meet us there.
⛺ Camping. The park has set aside two campsites for our group at no cost, with room for about eight tents. You'll need your own tent and sleeping gear.
🏨 Hotel. We have a limited number of rooms held at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Fredericksburg for Friday through Monday. Rooms are $400 for the full weekend regardless of how many people share one, and are available first come, first served. Payment will be requested the week of the project.

👨👩👧 Minors are welcome — a parent or guardian needs to be present with them at all times, including overnight.
☀️ Dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. We'll provide everything else, including tools and gloves.
🍽️ Lunch is provided both work days. Let us know about any dietary restrictions when you register.
