Galveston Island State Park is reopening to the public! After a long reconstruction process, the oceanside of the park will have its grand opening on June 27.
We have been asked to help support the staff for the Fourth of July weekend by handing out waters and maps, navigating traffic and parking, as well as picking up garbage.
This will be a FULL WEEKEND event, split into TWO GROUPS each day — a morning group (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and an afternoon group (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM). Within each group, we’ll need volunteers to walking the park as well as manning the info booth.
Let us know if you would be interested in the morning or afternoon group when you sign up. Lunch and dinner will be provided, so we need an accurate headcount for both!
Donations help us provide supplies to our volunteers so they can keep helping our parks!
